tvidler reviews. When inserted into the ear canal and rotated clockwise (toward the back of the head), the silicone auger-shaped extractor effectively removes ear wax from the external ear canal. The kit’s high-quality case protects six silicone extractor bits for household use. Once I received my order, I noticed that the extractor is not meant to reach the eardrum out of an abundance of caution.
This is a great feature of the product because it gives you peace of mind that you won’t hurt your ear when using it. The device did its job of removing earwax, but I now know that the blockage in my ear is in the middle ear and that the device is useless in helping me overcome this problem. This product was not effective in curing my problem, but it did teach me that I needed medical intervention to do so, making the purchase worthwhile.
Repeated ear pain has necessitated frequent visits to the audiologist for my toddler. This instrument has been a godsend in assisting us in getting rid of the surplus. Once you learn the basics, it’s a breeze to use. A change in technique rather than a flaw in the product
Perhaps it doesn’t go deep enough, or perhaps it’s intended for people with ear wax just pouring out of their ears, but nothing comes out of my ears, and I find it hard to believe that I don’t have any. When it comes down to it, I just think it’s a clever marketing ploy. Oops, I really wish I hadn’t spent any money on that. I only gave it 2 stars for the good packaging and nicely made product….but just not designed to go deep enough into the ear canal. Dumb.
