Tanya Memme, whom I met five years ago, is no exception. We immediately felt a connection. She grew up on a sod farm in Wainfleet, Ontario, and I grew up in Vauxhall, Alberta, on an agricultural property. It’s a great delight to see two village ladies living in the big city and bonding on so many levels.

Tanya is an endearing, sincere, amusing, and captivating lady. Not only is she a stunning young lady, having been named Miss World Canada, but the depth of her spirit is as stunning.

Tanya has had an incredibly successful television career. She is best known as the star of the Emmy-nominated home design program “Sell This House,” which aired on the A&E Network for 15 years. She has also hosted famous A&E specials such as “Sell This House Extreme” and “Move This House.” Although her career seemed to be flourishing, she was confronted with a tough choice that altered her career trajectory. She opted to quit a television show in which she and her daughter co-starred and which they both adored. Everything seemed to be OK on the surface, but she was enduring continual emotional and verbal assault on set.

Tanya chose to leave the talk program on which she was cast as the adored DIY Expert for children after five years, with her integrity intact and the example she wished to establish for her daughter. Tanya has learned tremendously from this one choice that there is often a cost associated with living with honesty. Tanya’s daughter Ava was saddened when her mother informed her of her decision to quit the program; nonetheless, Tanya felt it was more essential to set a good example for her daughter and look after her mental well-being.

Anyone who embraces the changes occurring around them and does not stink at them needs courage. Tanya Memme is someone to emulate when it comes to accepting change and completely loving oneself even in the face of adversity. She is an Emmy-nominated television host, lifestyle expert, international executive on-camera, video, and on-stage coach. She is also the founder of Life Masters, a talk show/podcast/web-based platform where visionaries, mentors, healers, life coaches, and speakers share life-changing stories, inspiration, and wisdom. All of her titles demonstrate how she never gave up on her dreams and mastered the art of climbing the ladder of success without succumbing to fear. This conversation with her proves the need to embrace the worst-case situation and develop the ability to walk away from it. Tanya believes that accepting obstacles does not happen quickly, but it may occur when the root reason is discovered, and forgiveness is extended.
