NEE gives you an overall educator assessment system – not just a bright new app on your iPad. We are focusing on improving teachers and administrators, not simply evaluating them, through superior education and continuous support.
NEE was established in 2011 by a partnership of preK-12 practitioners and researchers at the University of Missouri’s College of Education to provide resources for educator assessment and training. In 2011, nine schools took part in the NEE pilot.
Within three years, NEE had spread to over 250 districts, accounting for more than half of Missouri’s school districts. This growth occurred without the use of coordinated marketing; it was largely focused on word-of-mouth and a good reputation. NEE filled – and continues to fill – a void in the market for a robust administrator and teacher appraisal system that works for administrators, teachers, and students alike.
