Golem is a pure Rock-type and is therefore only weak to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, Grass and Electric-type moves. He is also doubly weak to Steele-type moves, making him vulnerable to Pursuit from the likes of Dusknoir and Mawile. The easiest way to take him down, however, is with a Water-type Pokemon such as Kyogre, Swampert or Blastoise. Kartana and Sceptile are also good choices, as they can hit Golem with Grass-type moves, which are super effective against him. When it comes to Shadow Pokemon, Shadow Swampert is the best counter, as he can hit Golem with a super effective Water-type moves.
