Fortnite Secret Lair: It was announced at the Magic Showcase 2021 digital event that the crossover set would have a range of recognized images from Epic Game’s Fortnite, which will be included in the set. The partnership will get two Secret Lair drops, which will be used to capture the in-game locales of the Island as well as the famous cast of characters that fight on it. The collaboration will receive two Secret Lair drops. The Secret Lair, according to the official announcement blog, would offer “reprints as you’ve never seen them before—though you’ll be on your own to perfect your dancing skills.”
The Street Fighter Secret Lair drop will include famous characters from the fighting game series, each with a special card that is mechanically distinct from the others in the set. All mechanically unique Universes Beyond cards will be reprinted in a more traditional Magic, non-Street Fighter format several months later as a part of “The List” in set boosters, following the controversy surrounding The Walking Dead x Secret Lair drop, which did not include any mechanically unique Universes Beyond cards at the time.
In 2022, Street Fighter will celebrate its 35th anniversary, and we’re celebrating with a Secret Lair drop that features the game’s famous characters in ways that only Magic can commemorate. Multikicker seems to be the ideal mechanism for Chun Li, doesn’t it?
Fans of Fortnite and Street Fighter should be aware that Secret Lair drops are available in very limited quantities and may soon become valuable collector’s goods. Interested customers should attempt to pre-order the goods or locate them as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the restricted supply.
Fortnite’s Secret Lair has been revealed in conjunction with Wizards of the Coast’s announcement that Magic: The Gathering will be exploring the Universes Beyond in the future. A variety of various elements of the universe will be explored in more depth via sets of limited-edition cards that will only be available for a limited time period. The majority of these sets include reimaginings of some of the game’s most famous cards, which have been recreated in the manner of another popular series. Once the Secret Lair’s purchasing time has over, the items will no longer be available for purchase, making them very desirable among collectors.
Following the announcement of the Secret Lair collection earlier this year, Magic: The Gathering announced that further sets will be inspired by Stranger Things, The Lord of the Rings, and Warhammer 40K.
“How can we bring [characters like] Chun Li to life?” says the author. Wizards posed the question to themselves. “She’s one of the all-time great kickers in gaming, renowned for her flurry of kicks,” they concluded, and so they created a card for her that included the multi kicker mechanism as well as the multi-kicker mechanic itself.
