Amlactin Lotion Reviews: AmLactin body lotion has been used in my home for many years. My mother suffers from severe eczema and dry skin — so much so, she does not grow hair on her legs. I recall her going to the dermatologist and being prescribed a medicated lotion called Lac-Hydrin. Lac-Hydrin (also known as Ammonium Lactate) definitely healed, exfoliated the dead skin and moisturized my mother’s skin. She began looking for an over-the-counter, lotion-type product that was comparable to the Lac-Hydrin prescribed to her. Her dermatologist recommended AmLactin. This was over 10 years ago and this is still the lotion of choice for my entire family.

Everyone is looking to freshen up their appearance in anticipation of the arrival of warmer weather. Summer is the best time of year to experiment with new things, from armpit facials to hair color and trim alterations.

That’s me flaunting my gams: Keratosis pilaris (KP), popularly known as “strawberry legs,” is a skin ailment that affects both Mary and me. According to WebMD, you may notice little bumps on your skin that look like goosebumps or the skin of a plucked chicken. KP is caused by an excess of keratin, a protein that shields skin from infection and other injuries. It’s unclear what causes the accumulation, which creates a blockage and prevents the hair follicle from opening. Even though it may occur everywhere on the body, the arms and legs are often reported. Mary didn’t have a term for the lumps until they appeared on the internet.

The model’s legs reminded Mary of strawberry legs, so she clicked on the word “strawberry legs” when she came across it on the internet.

“I was shocked when I learned what “strawberry legs” were. My name is that! When I viewed the post, I had no idea that the dots on my legs were something others were concerned about getting rid of! After seeing it, I just had to try it.” As we stepped out of the classroom to go outside for recess, a scary kid rubbed his hands on the legs of every female.

My leg was the last one he commented on, “Your legs are sort of rough!” as he stroked my leg.

About a year ago, I went into my local drugstore and I literally stood by the lotion section, looking for a forest-green and white bottle of AmLactin… for about 15-minutes.

Finally, frustrated, I decided to drive to another drugstore to see if AmLactin was available elsewhere. To my surprise, AmLactin totally revamped its packaging (and yes, they left their formula and ingredients the same!).

It’s completely gone now, two months later. My legs are the only location where I have it. It’s a wonderful experience. I have really sensitive skin, yet it worked well with it. If you want to get rid of your keratosis Polaris, you should acquire this product. AmLactin was acquired by Sandoz Inc. from Upsher-Smith Laboratories two years before that time. My purchase was motivated by the fact that the product was advertised as coming from Upsher-Smith Laboratories. It smells like rubbish and is less effective on my skin problem since Sandoz Inc. altered the recipe.
